Our intergenerational Los Angeles Forum Sunblock series event BONAVENTURE ADVENTURE was Saturday, October 8th, 2011. Big Parade’s Dan Koeppel lead a one hour walk in, through, and around the Westin Bonaventure Hotel in downtown Los Angeles. Participants in the event walked interiors, exteriors, fly-aways and walkways of the seemingly unnavigable spaces of this landmark structure of Post-Modernism that is referred to by political geographer and urban planner Ed Soja as the epitome of getting lost. At the juncture of public and private urban spaces and within BROODWORK’s exploration of Time, BONAVENTURE ADVENTURE takes the time to rediscover and reclaim the very idea of getting lost. We began at Angel's Flight and walked to the Bonaventure.
